CUET UG 2025: Changes by NTA for undergraduate college examinations

CUET UG 2025: The National testing Agency (NTA) has released the schedule for the Common University Entrance Test [CUET (UG)] -2025 for admission to various undergraduate programmes in central universities, and participating universities. The application process has been started, that will end on March 22. This year , The computer-based test has introduced some changes in the exam, Let’s have a look at them:

–This year the CUET UG will be conducted in 13 languages, English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.

–The examination will be conducted in completely online mode.

–Students will have the choice to select five subjects, earlier, they could select six subjects.

–This year, students can choose any subjects irrespective of weather they have appeared for them in Class 12.

–The duration of the exam is 60 minutes for all the subjects.

–The number of subjects has also been reduced to 37 from earlier 63 and is based on the general aptitude test.

–The provisions of the optional questions are not in this year’s exam. Students will have to attempt all the questions.

Last year, CUET UG 2024 was held in hybrid mode (CBT and pen and paper) mode on May 15,16,17,18,21,22,and 24 in 379 cities including 26 cities outside India for around 13.48 lakh candidates, about 1.58 lakh candidates appeared for seven test papers on May 29 and nearly 1,000 students took the CUET UG retest on July 19,

Meanwhile, the Agency released the Common University Entrance Test Postgraduates (CUET PG) application forms. Candidates willing to take admission to PG programmes in all central universities and other participating universities can register at exam.nta.ac.in/CUET-PG/. While the application window opened on January 2, the last date to apply for CUET PG 2025 is February 1.
